'Mr. Tommyhead'

"After extensive testing, I want to thank those of you that told me about the Tommyhead jig. I have now officially retired my other jigs and will use only Tommyhead jigs in the up coming ABA Grand Slam Pro tour. Tommy, great jig you got there." –Rick, Alabama

I’ve been fishing since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Originally, I started out fishing for trout in local streams in Pennsylvania. Then someone introduced me to bass fishing and I was “hooked” for life. There’s nothing like the thrill of a bass pulling on your line! Later, I was introduced to tournament fishing and learned about the shakeyhead phenomenom. At that time, the shakeyheads were good, but I needed something that combined power fishing and finesse fishing. Not finding anything on the market that fit the bill, I decided to start pouring my own. After a lot of trial and error, testing different jigs – not only in a neighboring pond but in the bathtub and sink too – I learned that my jig constantly lays at a 45° angle while the others do not. This was very exciting because, as you know, all bait fish feed at a 45° angle and the posture of crawfish on the defensive is also a 45° angle. When I showed my fellow fishermen what I had come up with, they were as excited as I was, and encouraged me to make my jig available to the public. So “The Tommyhead” was born. I hope you enjoy fishing with it as much as I do.
